The winner of Miss Health Ghana 2023 is hairstylist and public health student Christele Codo. The annual beauty contest took place at the Labadi Beach Hotel last Sunday.
Following a series of contests that put her knowledge, eloquence, and dedication to promoting health and wellness to the test, Ms. Codo triumphed. Her love for medicine and commitment to empowering women and girls won her over the five female judges—Drs. Grace Buckman, May Meskawi, Anne Coolen, Shallie Abbiusi, and Hannah Lisa Tetteh.
First runner-up was Dr. Omaima Mohammed Arab, followed by physician assistant Lawrencia Bessah Esinu in second place. Dora Debra came in fourth and Dauda Faridatu came in third, respectively.
This year’s Miss Health Ghana pageant, with the theme “Health for All,” sought to increase public awareness of the value of getting medical attention, especially for women and children. The competitors demonstrated their knowledge of health-related issues and their capacity to push for constructive change.

Ms. Codo gave an acceptance speech in which she thanked her supporters and discussed her goals for improving society.”I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who supported me from here in Ghana and everyone around the world. Their words of encouragement boosted my morale, and I fought through to the end,” she remarked.
Ms. Codo emphasized her dedication to encouraging women to take care of themselves, especially when it comes to hair therapy, in order to stop the spread of bacterial, fungal, and viral illnesses. She also underlined how critical it is to empower women and increase public knowledge of various health issues.
The chief executive officer of the pageant organizers, Lamrock Agency, Madam Gladys Akyere Rockson, praised each and every finalist for their exceptional performances. “I want to, first of all, congratulate the queens for their efforts, and I am hopeful that they will go out there and impact society,” she stated.
In addition to restating the pageant’s objective, Madam Rockson underlined the value of health and the necessity of spreading awareness of a range of health-related problems, such as women’s empowerment. As part of their drive to encourage healthy living, the agency is giving away 10,000 menstruation cups for free, which she also revealed.
Several sponsors, including Sonotech, Gino, Belaqua, AccraCity, and Labadi Beach Hotel, supported this year’s Miss Health Ghana competition.
