The Central Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Robert Kutin Jr., has passed away. He died on Sunday evening in Accra after battling a prolonged illness.
The Krontihene of Assin Jakai in the Assin South District, Nana Barfour Adjei X, who is also a family member, confirmed the news to the media.
Robert Kutin Jr., a native of Assin Jakai, was a prominent and influential figure in the NPP. He served as the party’s Regional Chairman for three consecutive terms, a testament to his dedication and leadership.

Mr. Kutin is remembered for his instrumental role in shifting the political landscape of the Central Region in favour of the NPP, particularly during the 2016 general elections.
