Mrs. Justina Marigold Assan, Central Regional Minister, has urged civil and public servants to put politics aside and focus on assisting the government in transforming the region.
Mrs. Assan made the announcement at a meeting in Winneba with employees of the Effutu Municipal Assembly, heads of decentralized departments, and representatives from security agencies.
The Minister was joined by Mr Kingsley Adjei Boahen, Chief Director of the Central Regional Coordinating Council, Service Commanders, Heads of Department, and Mr John B. Ninson, Chief Executive of Effutu Municipality.
The engagement was part of a day-long visit to the Area, during which she made a formal introduction and sought their approval and support.
Mrs. Assan said that she was open to hearing productive proposals and ideas for championing the Region’s change, which she believes should be a collaborative effort, and she urged effective cooperation to accomplish that goal.
She and her entourage previously paid a visit to Neenyi Ghartey VIII, Effutu Oma Odefe, and the whole Effutu Traditional Council at his palace to introduce themselves and to seek their support, blessing, guidance, and productive ideas for work.
Neenyi commended the Minister for her fortitude and perseverance and encouraged her to continue living up to expectations in the execution of her primary responsibilities.
He highlighted the need of technocrats in the Region giving their full assistance to the Minister in order to enable the Area’s complete development.
He also promised her that the Traditional Council would assist her in her efforts to make the Region a preferred destination and prayed for the Lord’s wisdom and inspiration in all her work.
