The Central Regional Manager for the National Insurance Commission Naa Yeye Adumuah-Ladzekpoh has cautioned drivers and motorists to desist from insuring with fake and unlicensed insurance operators.
According to her, the availability of cheap insurance packages on the market has made most drivers unwilling to pay attention to the authenticity of their insurance cover, putting them at risk of faulting the law.
Speaking on the ATLANTIC WAVE Friday, Mrs Adumuah-Ladzekpoh stressed on the need to ensure vehicles plying the roads in the region meet all legal insurance requirements to guarantee the safety of all person.
“Whenever you buy the stickers, no matter the insurance policy you are buying, take note of something. Who is selling to you? Has the person gotten an ID that identifies them with an insurance company? Have you heard of it before and do you know where to locate them?.
She emphasized that proper verification of insurance companies before one ventures into it will ensure the activities of such fake insurance operators come to a halt.
