The Cape Coast District Court has remanded into police custody the boyfriend of the level 300 Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) student found lifeless with genitals removed last Friday.
The suspect, Nicholas Ato Bronk Taylor is being charged with murder and has been remanded to appear before the court on May 31, 2022.

The Cape Coast District Court was presided over by Her Lordship, Bernice Mensimah Ackon and the remand is to enable the prosecution to carry out further investigations.
The deceased, identified as Nana Ama Clarke, a Level 300 Marketing student of Cape Coast Technical University (CCTU) was on Friday, May 13, 2022, found dead in the night without her private part at OLA in Cape Coast.
Vigil
Nana Ama Clarke’s coursemates on Sunday night held a vigil for her on campus. According to some of her friends, she was to celebrate her birthday on May 15. Wearing all black to mark the solemn vigil in remembrance of her, they carried candles around campus and later converged at the forecourt of the School’s Administration Block.
National Alumni
The National Secretariat of the Cape Coast Technical University National Alumni Relations Office has also called on the Ghana Police Service to ensure swift action towards the perpetrators of the gruesome act.
