The Ghana Catholic Bishop’s Conference and Christian Council of Ghana have expressed disappointment in their exclusion from the National Education Forum scheduled to be held today and tomorrow 18th and 19th February, 2025.
In a joint statement, the prominent religious organizations emphasized that while some organizations associated with them were invited, the GCBC and CCG were excluded.
“Both the GCBC and CCG have a long-standing commitment to the development and welfare of the educational system, and we have consistently worked to ensure that our educational institutions serve the needs of every Ghanaian child, irrespective of their background or beliefs.”
They argued that the national forum requires the inclusion of all stakeholders and their exclusion from it is a disservice to the broader educational community.
They therefore calling on the government to extend invitation to them as well as other relevant bodies expressing their readiness to engage in constructive dialogue for the betterment of education in Ghana.
