American rapper Cardi B has vowed to take legal action after Child Protective Services (CPS) placed an anonymous hoax call that resulted in an unjustified late-night visit to her home.
During an Instagram Live session on October 22, 2024, Cardi B voiced her dissatisfaction and annoyance with the situation.
CPS and law police paid her a late-night visit after the anonymous caller claimed her children were being beaten and mistreated.
Given that she is a minority in her community, Cardi B denounced the prank as reckless and unsettling.
She vowed to sue CPS and the person who made the call, highlighting the gravity of implicating her children.

The rapper emphasised that her motherhood and the welfare of her children will not be jeopardised and offered to employ a top private investigator to find the prankster.
“To conduct a prank call with CPS to visit my gated mansion at 11 p.m. while my kids are asleep due to an anonymous call claiming that my kids have been beaten and abused,” she stated. Are you really that stupid?
The mother of three denounced the practical joke as being both reckless and quite worrisome.
“This is where the pranks get out of hand, and you guys find this amusing when it’s not,” she continued.
First of all, I’m the only Latino or coloured person in my entire community, so why would police and child protective services show up at my house after an anonymous phone about my kids?
“I swear to you that as soon as I wake up in the morning, I will investigate this further and file a lawsuit against both child protective services and the individual who made this call.
“You guys take jokes and shit a bit too far, so I’m going to hire the best private investigator in the entire nation. Don’t ever play with my kids, my motherhood, or my ex-husband’s fatherhood. We don’t play that shit; my kids live great and have never been touched or hit. No matter how annoying they are, I never hit my kids.”
