To keep water consumers in the Cape Coast metropolis informed about the ongoing works at the Brimsu Old Water Treatment Plant, the management of Ghana Water Limited (GWCL) in the Central Region has issued a statement regarding a planned maintenance at the plant scheduled for January 17, 2024.
According to the statement, the maintenance will result in a temporary interruption of the water supply from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
The affected areas encompass “parts of Ankaful, Essuekyir Community Two, sections of Abura Academy/NTC/Interbeton Hilly areas, Bassakrom, and 4th Ridge”, the statement reads.
To minimize inconvenience, the management urges customers within these affected communities to prepare by storing water in advance of the planned interruption.
Additionally, the management assured customers saying they will ensure a prompt conclusion of the maintenance to facilitate the resumption of water supply, thereby assuring residents.”
