The Movement for Change members in Cape Coast say a recent press conference held by a group claiming to represent the Movement for Change party is nothing more than a smokescreen of deception.
According to the movement, the NPP’s desperation knows no bounds as they fabricate lies to deceive Ghanaians.
Speaking at a media briefing in Cape Coast on Wednesday, October 9 to set the records straight, John Sam, a Polling Station Secretary of Amoakofua in the Cape Coast South Constituency emphasized that the group does not represent the Movement for Change.
“Let it be clear that those of us gathered here are the true leaders of the movement for change in the constituency. Moreover, we are all NPP executives who have decided to support Mr. Alan Kyerematen… The individuals at the press conference have never been part of the movement since its inception and anyone familiar with Cape Coast politics can attest to this.”
“We all remember when this same outdated propaganda was used by the NPP, falsely claiming that Adenta Kumi (Alfred Kumi) had deferred from the movement for change with 6,000 people. The truth is that only 11 individuals defected after being bribed with large sums of money.”
Mr. Sam alleged that the young man who organized the recent press conference “was bribed with 50,000 Ghana cedis.”
“What the NPP fails to understand is that no amount of money or deceit can erase their failures… “The Movement for Change, led by Mr. Alan Kyerematen, represents the hope Ghanaians have been yearning for.”
Additionally, he said the economic mismanagement, crippling unemployment, the high cost of living, rampant galamsey, and widespread corruption are the legacies the NPP has left Ghanaians.
Mr. Sam asserted that the NPP is panicking because the grounds are swelling for the Movement for Change in the Central Region.
In a twist of events, the media briefing saw leaders invoking the wrath of the gods of Cape Coast as libation was poured to summon the gods to punish those spreading falsehoods about the Movement.
