The Cape Coast Metro Director of the Ghana Education Service, Madam Dorcas Brenda Asare says plans are far advanced to ensure a smooth examination week during the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
The 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination will commence on Monday, November 15, and end on Friday, November 19, 2021.
A total of 571,894 candidates will sit for the Basic Education Certificate Examinations (BECE) at the 2,158 designated examination centres across the country.
The GES notes that its outfit together with WAEC, and the security services are working jointly to ensure the smooth conduct of the examinations at all the centers across the country.

The Cape Coast Metro Director of the Ghana Education Service, Madam Dorcas Brenda Asare speaking to ATLFMNEWS on their preparations in the metropolis said the students have been adequately prepared both mentally and learnedly to facilitate their success in the upcoming exams.
“We organized a seminar for the candidates to interact with stakeholders on their conduct during the exams. We also prepared them through the mock exams that precede the BECE.”
She also notes that all tools and materials and the centres for the exams have all been made ready to ensure the smooth progress of the exams.
She, therefore, called on especially parents to also play their role in supporting their wards by ensuring that their wards are in the right frame of mind and in good health to soundly write their exams.
“Let’s pamper them small during the exam week so that they will have that sound mind to write their exams. She said.
She emphasized that parents should not burden their wards with household chores during the exams as that can drain them have dire consequences on their health and mind.
