The #FixtheCountry activists have announced their plan to demonstrate against Citi News reporter Caleb Kudah’s arrest and attack, as well as the takeover of Citi FM by National Security operatives.
Caleb Kudah’s assault on Tuesday has dominated Ghanaian discussion.
National Security operatives arrested and attacked Mr. Kudah for filming discarded MASLOC automobiles stored at the security agency’s headquarters.
Following that, heavily armed National Security agents raided the Citi FM/Citi TV offices to arrest Broadcast Journalist Zoe Abu-Baidoo Addo, who was there to receive some of Mr. Kudah’s files.
In a tweet, the party encouraged Ghanaians to participate in the rally, noting that the route would be announced later.

“We’ve decided to have the discussion in a unique way by bringing our case to the streets. All well-intentioned Ghanaians are invited to join us on May 22nd in Accra for a mega rally to restore our privileges as people. The routes will be revealed in the near future.”
To defend its decision to take to the streets, the group cited many examples of journalist abuse.
The National Media Commission has been notified of the attack on Caleb Kudah and the takeover of the channel by the management of Citi FM/Citi TV.
The issue is also being looked at by the National Security Ministry.
