Mfantsipim School once again demonstrated their athletic prowess at this year’s 32nd Central Regional Super Zonal athletics competition, held at the Cape Coast Stadium. The Botwe boys showcased their exceptional skills and teamwork, amassing an impressive total of 168 points to secure the top position. Their performance highlighted their continued dominance in regional athletics.
Adisadel College, their long-time rival, also put up a strong performance but fell short of the champions, accumulating 109 points to take the second place. This significant gap between the top two schools underscored Mfantsipim’s superiority in this year’s competition.

Aggrey Memorial SHS clinched the third spot with a total of 62 points, showcasing their competitive spirit and athletic abilities. They were closely followed by St. Augustine’s College, which earned 59 points to finish in fourth place. The narrow margin between Aggrey Memorial SHS and St. Augustine’s College added an extra layer of excitement to the competition, emphasizing the high level of talent and competition among the schools.

In the ladies’ competition, Edinaman Senior High School (S.H.S) made a resounding impact by dominating the region with an impressive score of 149 points. This outstanding performance sent a strong message to the former champions, Efutu S.H.S, as well as other notable schools such as Mfantseman Girls, Wesley Girls High School, and Holy Child School. Efutu S.H.S secured second place with a commendable 120.5 points. Following them was Sammy Otoo S.H.S, which astonished the crowd with an impressive 73 points. The 2023 champions, Mfantseman Girls, unexpectedly finished in fourth place with a total of 72 points.
