The Central Regional Minister, Justina Marigold Assan has called on traditional authorities in the Central Region to rally their support behind her to be able to achieve the desired development for the region.
Madam Marigold Assan made the call when she paid a courtesy call on the Omanhen of the Oguaa Traditional area yesterday. The visit according to the minister was to officially announce her presence in the region as the new minister and also to ask for blessings from the Omanhen.
Speaking at the short ceremony to welcome her, Madam Assan indicated that the advice and direction from the traditional authorities will play a significant role in the discharge of her duties as minsiter. She said she was ready to collaborate with the traditional authorities in any way possible to ensure the needed development, peace and stability in the region.

On his part the Omanhen of Oguaa Traditional area Osabarima Kwesi Atta II who received the delegation described the visit as exceptional and appropriate. He declared the unflinching support from the traditional authority to the minister and her team.
He explained that the region has often been left out in so many areas and expressed optimism that with the right zeal, dedication and support the region can set sail on the path to development under the new minister’s tenure.
He charged the Minister to at all time champion the interest of the region while falling on the traditional authorities for their support.
The Minister was accompanied by some MMDCE’s in the region, the regional Security Council and officials from the regional coordination council.
