George Darko, the pioneer of burger highlife and legendary musician, has passed away.
On March 20, 2024, a Wednesday, he supposedly passed away.
Mr. Darko, whose stool name was Nana Apem Darko I, was the Tufuhene of Akropong.
He has been active in the music industry since the late 1960s and has performed as a guitarist, singer, composer, and songwriter.
In Ghanaian music circles, George Darko’s songs are among the most classic and timeless highlife recordings. He was popular in the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.
