Appiah Dankwah, popularly known as Appeitus, has been threatened with legal action by Lawrence Nana Asiamah, the CEO of Bullhaus Entertainment and an artist management.
Lawrence Asiamah, also known as Bulldog, claimed in a Facebook post that the veteran producer was profiting from 5Five, a band that was formerly under the management of Bullhaus Entertainment.
He claims that the producer has been collecting money from 5Five’s songs for the past ten years only after illegally selling the tracks on digital streaming services.
Bulldog clarified that even though Appeitus produced the songs, his business Bullhaus executive produced and promoted them, making them also their intellectual property.
“Appietus, you will pay for every Dollar you collected off my investments and you will pay with interest…You have been feeding your family and yourself with our investments for 10 years by selling 5Five songs – executive produced and promoted by Bullhaus Entertainment on digital platforms globally without our permission – Get ready -Time to pay up. You will hear from our counsellors”

This comes after Appietus claimed he was not paid for producing 5Five’s biggest hit ‘Muje Baya’.
Speaking on Citi TV, on Sunday, Appietus said, “after recording the song, they told me they were going to show it to an investor, the next moment I heard the song playing on radio, they lied to me”.
He emphasized that it just took the song one week to become one of Ghana’s biggest hits.
On Tuesday, January 17, Papi, the other member of the musical duo, reacted angrily to this assertion on CTV.
Papi called Appietus names and asserted that he had greatly benefited from the song for which they had paid him.
Like his former manager Bulldog, the musician claimed that the producer was profiting from their tracks secretly on digital streaming services.
Bulldog received an apology from Papi, who earlier had accused him of being responsible for the theft of money generated by the band’s music.
“Bro I am using this platform to say I am sorry, forgive me. I am being honest, from my heart,” he said on the show.
The producer responded by threatening to sue Papi for what he believes to be character assassination.
The live broadcast conversation turned into an exchange of insults and unprintable words.
