Shatta Wale has allegedly not fulfilled his responsibilities after accusing Bullgod of murder, even though a court settlement required him to issue an apology and pay legal bills.
Renowned artist manager Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, popularly known as Bullgod, has addressed the impact of the murder allegations leveled against him by dancehall artist Shatta Wale on his brand.
In a February 19, 2025, interview with Nana Romeo on Accra FM, Bullgod revealed that Shatta Wale has yet to comply with the agreed settlement terms, including covering his legal expenses, following a slander lawsuit filed against him.
He stressed that despite a private apology from Shatta Wale, he still expects a public apology as part of the settlement.
“I sued him for GH¢1 million for defamation of character. For me, it wasn’t even about the money; it was about setting things right. So, we reached a consent judgment where he was supposed to cover my legal fees and issue a public apology, but he hasn’t done that. Now, the case has returned to court for the judge to direct him to comply, he stated.”
Bullgod acknowledged that although he lost out on commercial prospects, the experience helped him mature as he considered how the accusations affected his work and mental health.
“It haunted me for some years. It weighed on my mind, but I have since moved on. I see it as a sign from God. Sometimes, we don’t understand God’s ways… but I am certain that this situation has played a role in shaping where I am today. Some people may hesitate to work with me because of it, while others may see it differently. Either way, it’s a win-win for me, he added.“

Bullgod was officially accused by Shatta Wale in November 2022 of being complicit in the murder of Fennec Okyere, the late Kwaw Kese manager.
Since the case was still being investigated, Bullgod’s legal team then filed a defamation complaint at the Accra High Court, claiming that Shatta Wale’s remarks were not only hurtful but also completely inappropriate.
Bullgod sought legal recourse and asked the court to declare Shatta Wale’s comments to be harmful and defamatory.
Bullgod’s legal team was reportedly amenable to an out-of-court settlement by March 2023.
But it has now come to light that Shatta Wale was supposed to pay Bullgod money and offer an official apology as part of the deal.
Bullgod claims that neither of these promises has been kept.
