The Assistant Headmaster of the Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region has been detained for reportedly raping one of the school’s final year students.
Issahaku Jadua, the accused, is accused of inviting the victim into his office at 6:00 p.m. on May 20 to counsel her on an impending exam.
According to the police, Mr. Jadua forced sex with the student when he entered the office.
Inspector Adjekum Owusu, the Ghana Police Service’s Savannah Regional Public Relations Officer, verified the incident to the media.
After a medical assessment of the victim, he was detained on Wednesday, May 25.
Mr. Issahaku Jadua will be processed for court, according to Inspector Adjekum.

“We received a report that a student of the Bole Senior High School was raped by one of her tutors. The crime officer and other officials of the Ghana Education Service went to the school and took the girl to the hospital for diagnosis to ascertain the fact of the case.”
“Yesterday [Wednesday], the tutor was arrested and detained, so currently we are preparing him for court.”
