Students of the School of Business, University of Cape Coast, reading Bachelor of Commerce (Procurement and Supply Chain Management) will graduate with a competitive edge over their colleagues reading the same programme in other institutions.
Following the accreditation of the programme by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT), students reading BCOM (Procurement and Supply Chain Management) will now graduate as associate members as the programme is mapped to CILT qualification.
Dean of the School of Business, Prof. John Gartchie Gatsi (Esq.) receiving a delegation from CILT to handover the accreditation certificate urged all departments and centres at UCC to apply for accreditation from professional groups for all of their programmes. This, he noted, would provide their students a competitive advantage over students from other schools.
He said the BCOM (Procurement and Supply Chain Management) programme was accredited by two professional bodies within procurement, supply chain, logistics and transport adding that it would encourage prospective applicants to be attracted to the programme.
