Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the 2024 Presidential Candidate of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), will kick off his constituency-based campaign tour of the Eastern Region from today, August 2nd to August 4th.
This tour marks the start of his engagement with local constituents, aiming to connect with grassroots supporters, address their concerns, and outline the party’s vision for the future.
After a short break, the campaign team will continue the tour from August 9th to 11th and conclude with the final leg from August 15th to 17th.
On Friday, the Vice President will visit Asesewa in the Upper Manya Krobo Constituency to present his campaign message ahead of the general elections, followed by an engagement with residents in Akropong.
The NPP has committed to conducting a thorough campaign in the Eastern Region to ensure every significant voice is heard.
Evans Osei Yeboah, Eastern Regional Communications Director for the NPP, highlighted the importance of the campaign, stating, “We need every party member to rally together and support our efforts to complete key projects before the December 7 elections. This unity will help us achieve our goal of breaking the 8.”
He revealed that the NPP is presenting a unified front in the Eastern Region, with strong collaboration among regional chairpersons and party leaders enhancing the campaign’s effectiveness.
He highlighted the measures put in place, stating that Dr. Bawumia’s tour will feature visits to multiple constituencies over the first three days to maximize engagement.
“Our target is to make a significant impact, especially in the Krobo bloc,” Mr. Yeboah added. “This is the first time our Presidential candidate is conducting a meet-and-greet campaign in this area, and we aim to surprise the opposition with our strong grassroots support.”
