Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), a well-known figure in Ghanaian media, has responded on social media to friends and family who are upset by his support of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) by using the platform.
KOD stated he is of age and capable of making his own decisions, including his political views, in a Facebook post aimed at those who are dissatisfied with his political choice.
He acknowledged that his family members hold varying political perspectives and declared himself open to being influenced by others’ viewpoints.
“At my age, you want to determine my political views? No, I’m old enough to think for myself!”
The radio host and fashion enthusiast has never hidden his support for the NDC, a position that seems to have caused him to have a falling out with some of his friends.

He wrote: “Some people will get distant as “FRIENDS” because you have chosen a side to support politically. Meanwhile, you stayed their friends when they made their political choice.
