John Dumelo, the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, has expressed his disapproval of MPs using sirens on their cars to make traveling easier while performing their jobs.
Speaking in a video that went viral, Mr. Dumelo shared his personal opinion on the subject, stating that although sirens might make it easier to move around, he does not believe they are essential to his job as an MP.

“I simply left the parliament where I was with him for orientation. He took reference to remarks made by his colleague Kwame Obeng Asare, also known as A Plus, when he said, “A Plus says we need sirens. Maybe that’s his opinion, but personally, I don’t think I need a siren.”
The member of parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon admitted that the matter has generated a lengthy discussion among lawmakers, with some supporting the deployment of sirens. He did, however, restate his personal disapproval of this viewpoint.

“I personally don’t, but I know some people do, and it’s a debate that has been going on for a while,” he continued.
Opinions on whether MPs should be allowed to use sirens for transportation are still divided; some contend that it improves their efficiency in carrying out their duties, while others see it as superfluous and disruptive.
