The United Nations International Organization for Migration (UN-IOM) has named singer Kofi Kinaata and actress Ama K. Abebrese of Ghana as Goodwill Ambassadors.
The UN-IOM project seeks to increase exposure, amplify messages, and create collaboration at national, regional, and international levels. It is aimed to leverage the influence and reach of notable persons from many areas to advocate for its purpose.
The well-known actress announced the happy news on Facebook not too long ago saying,“As a diasporan having lived between Ghana and the UK, I understand why many people choose to migrate. I encourage everyone to do this safely and through the right channels.”
“It is a great honour to be unveiled as an IOM – UN Migration Goodwill Ambassador for Ghana. IOM Ghana”.
The numerous award-winning singer-songwriter and rapper Kofi Kinaata used his music to emphasize the importance of educating young Ghanaians about migration options. He focused on safe routes, the dangers of illegal migration, and prospects in Ghana.
