The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will commission the Four-Tier Pokuase Interchange today, Friday, July 9, 2021.
The $94 million project would help to relieve traffic congestion on the Accra-Nsawam route.
Awoshie is connected to Kwabenya, Kwabenya is connected to Nsawam, and Accra is connected to Awoshie.
In an interview with Citi News, the interchange’s Resident Engineer, Ing Kwabena Bempong, advised motorists to exercise care until the junction has been completely commissioned.
He also expressed gratitude to the people for their assistance throughout the building.
“The project is almost finished, and President Akufo-Addo is set to commission it at 10 a.m.,” says the statement. The consultants and contractors appreciate the public’s tolerance throughout the three-year construction period, despite all of the difficulties they faced.”
“I’d also want to use this occasion to remind vehicles, particularly walkers, to exercise care while using the interchange.”
