President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will address Parliament on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, in compliance with Article 67 of the 1992 constitution.
The constitution requires the President to give a statement on the state of the nation at the start of each session and before Parliament is dissolved.
The forthcoming talk is intended to emphasize the government’s key policy objectives for the year and provide insight into measures for improving the current economic condition.

In February, the former Majority Leader, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, gave this update in Parliament, announcing, “Mr Speaker, in accordance with Article 67 of the Constitution, H.E the President will deliver to the house a message on the State of the Nation on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.” Members are encouraged to make themselves accessible for the next work.
President Akufo-Addo’s impending speech will be his second-to-last address to Parliament.
