President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has appointed Commissioner of Police (COP) Christian Tetteh Yohuno as the new Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIGP) in charge of Operations.
The appointment of COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno follows a recommendation of the Ghana Police Council during a meeting held on Wednesday, 17th July 2024.
According to the President, COP Yohuno’s vast experience and proven track record make him a valuable asset to the Ghana Police Service.
“COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno is a distinguished law enforcement officer, with a career spanning over three decades, and has held various key positions within the Ghana Police Service,” he stated.
Congratulating COP Yohuno on his appointment, the President expressed confidence that he will excel in this endeavour
He said, “I am confident that he will excel in this challenging position and contribute significantly to maintaining law and order in our country.”
COP Yohuno’s appointment takes effect immediately taking over the operational responsibilities of the Ghana Police Service.
