Laborers of Ghana Airport Company Limited (GACL) have removed their administrations over what they named as botch by the Managing Director, Yaw Kwakwa.
The laborers say they have removed clients’ administrations and other fundamental administrations at the different air terminals, compelling Friday, February 26, and would not resume until the MD is eliminated.
This has brought about immense lines at the different air terminals as most travelers are abandoned.
The Chairman of the Airport Workers Union, Abdul Issakah Bamba, in a meeting with Onua FM’s Yen Sempa on Friday clarified that “[how] the MD is dealing with the organization. . .he is murdering the organization gradually”.
“Until this is settled, we won’t return.”
He said they have removed their administrations for both neighborhood and global flights
“Our administrations on both nearby and global flights have been removed and what will take care of the issue is for the MD to leave office now.”
Mr. Bamba conceded that the workplaces of the MD and other fundamental workplaces have been secured.
“Indeed. It is valid. We have bolted the workplaces of the MD and others.”
