Just hours after xAI, Elon Musk’s AI business, unveiled Grok 3, the most recent iteration of its AI model, X has dramatically increased the cost of its premium+ subscription plan, which grants users access to the most recent model, to nearly $50 per month.
The monthly and annual subscription fees for Premium+ in the United States have been changed to $50 and $350, respectively, on the support page listing X’s premium plans.
In the previous few months, X has increased the cost of the Premium+ plan twice. The corporation increased the monthly subscription fee from $16 to $22 in December. The new plan will cost Premium+ users more than twice what they already pay, if any of the published rates are to be believed.
Through a distinct SuperGrok plan accessible via the Grok app, xAI is implementing some of the capabilities included in Grok 3. Therefore, subscribers of the Premium+ plan will only have access to certain features like “deep search” and “reasoning.”

It’s worth noting that the pricing is not consistent on X: When this reporter tried to sign up for the Premium+ plan, X showed that it would cost $39.83 per month ($477.95 annually), though the final check-out page said it would cost $395 for a year.
Additionally, the sign-up page indicates a monthly pricing of $48.40, and the check-out page charges $40, even though X’s support page states that a monthly subscription costs $50.
