American rappers Lil Durk and J Cole won the third category, Best Melodic Rap Performance, with their song “All My Life.” In this category, Burna Boy’s “Sittin’ On Top of the World,” featuring 21 Savage, was not able to outperform the opposition.
Burna Boy was unsuccessful in his attempt to win the Best Global Music Album title with his fourth and final nomination. The World fusion band Shakti’s “This Moment” beat out both his album, “I Told Them,” and that of fellow Nigerian musician Davido.
