Ghanaian actor Adjetey Anang has said that, no matter how tempting the offer, he will adamantly turn down movie roles that feature nudity, violent content, or intimate circumstances.
The actor stated on TV3’s New Day that his morals and personal ideals, rather than money, are what most influence his decisions.
“There are characters that I may not play. Somebody else would play it… Nudity, nude scenes, and very graphic, intimate scenes. That’s the thing. It’s not about the money,” he stated on June 26, 2024.
After the film, Adjetey Anang recalled how a part portrayed by his co-star, actor Fred Amugi, affected his personal life.
He related how, following his appearance in the film in which he played a criminal, a food vendor in Kumasi once declined to sell to Fred Amugi.
The actor also talked about the way society perceives performers, pointing out that many Ghanaians have a hard time telling the difference between an actor’s real-life character and the role they play.

“And that’s how serious people take it. They can’t draw a line between the craft and the actor”, he remarked.
Adjetey Anang discussed a new film called “The Groomsmen” on The New Day on TV3 with two of her colleagues, Daniel Delong and Peter Ritchie.
The first showing of “The Groomsmen” is scheduled for July 12 at Silverbird Cinemas in Accra Mall.
