A Nigerian man, 24, has shattered the record by playing a soccer video game nonstop for over three days.
Playing a soccer game, Oside Oluwole, also known as “Khoded,” achieved the longest videogame marathon, clocking in at 75 hours.
He significantly outperformed Englishman David Whitefoot’s 2022 record of 50 hours.
The certified biochemist Oside, who is now employed as a car dealer in his hometown of Ijebu Ode, tried to break this record in order to generate funds for the local hospital.
On his iPhone, which he connected to a TV screen, Oside played the mobile game Dream League Soccer 2023, in contrast to the seven previous record holders who used either FIFA or Pro Evolution Soccer during their efforts.
Since downloading the free-to-play soccer simulator for the first time in 2016, Oside has been a devoted fan.
In an attempt to break the record, he participated in nearly 500 matches.
He accrued five minutes of rest time for every hour of gaming, in accordance with our regulations for all “longest marathon” records. It was only during these breaks that he was allowed to eat, snooze, or use the restroom.

“I really enjoyed myself playing for 75 hours straight with just some hours of rest,” he said.
“It wasn’t an easy task, but I must say it was all fun.
“It was such a great moment; the event was very interesting and I’m grateful to God that it was successful.”
Hon. Seun Adesanya, a member of the Ogun State House of Assembly, congratulated Oside on finishing his record attempt and stated in a press release: “The Guinness World Records [title] is a testament to Mr. Oluwole’s dedication, determination, and the countless hours of practice he invested in mastering the game.”
“His achievement stands as an inspiration to all aspiring gamers and an embodiment of the unyielding spirit of determination that drives our nation.”
Oside has smashed this record by a greater margin than anyone else in history. After being defeated seven times in eleven years, the period was progressively expanded from the original 24 hours in 2010 to 50 hours.
Chef Hilda Baci’s record-breaking cook-a-thon last year enthralled the entire nation of Nigeria, inspiring Oside to take on this task.
Now, he wants to break additional records in the area of soccer videogames, especially those on consoles like the previously mentioned PES and FIFA series.
