Dumelo’s vision aligns with the NDC’s broader economic agenda, which places a strong emphasis on agribusiness.
One of the highlights of the vetting session was Dumelo’s response to questions about his presidential ambitions. Dumelo, however, humbly stated that he was ready to wait his turn, acknowledging the presence of “seniors” ahead of him.
Dumelo also addressed the issue of cocoa farmers selling their lands to illegal miners due to low cocoa prices. He called for improved cocoa pricing to incentivize farmers to preserve their lands and discourage them from turning to mining for economic survival.
