Kwadwo Nkansah, better known by his stage name Lilwin, is a Ghanaian actor and producer who has revealed the amount of money he spent on his film, “A Country Called Ghana.”
Lilwin told Zionfelix that he had to spend more than forty thousand dollars to cast Ramsey Noah, a Nigerian actor, in the film.
“I gave Ramsey Noah over forty thousand dollars.” I wanted to highlight one individual, but I couldn’t afford the amount he wanted to charge. They wanted to charge me more because they believed I was Nigerian when I called him. I paid him $40,000, but it doesn’t even cover lodging and food,” he remarked.
Lilwin also discussed the amount of money he spent on the film’s promotion.

“I made almost one million Ghanaian cedis promoting that film. Promotion is incomprehensible to Ghanaians. I purchased the Benz because of the promotion, which was beneficial to me. The ministers and MPs traveled to Accra to witness the premiere, in part, because of the publicity the Benz garnered. I completed more than 4,000 T-shirts and more than 20 billboards. “Just figure out how much money I spent on that,” he added.
One of the films that sparked interest and discussion in Ghana last year was “A Country Called Ghana,” directed by Kojo Nkansah Lilwin.
The film had two major premieres, one in Accra and one in Kumasi.
