To better compete with AI-powered chatbots like Google’s Gemini and OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Meta is apparently planning to release a stand-alone app for its AI assistant, Meta AI.
As early as the company’s upcoming fiscal quarter (April–June), Meta may release a stand-alone Meta AI app, according to CNBC. At the moment, users may only access Meta AI through a website and the Meta app family, which includes Facebook and WhatsApp.
According to CNBC, Meta also intends to launch a premium subscription service for Meta AI that will give the assistant additional, unidentified skills. The price was unknown to the publication.

With more than 700 million monthly active users, Meta AI is a component of Meta’s multifaceted plan to dominate the AI market. Additionally, the business has actively published “open” models, such as Llama, which it believes have the potential to support an ecosystem that is comparable to OpenAI’s.
In late April, Meta intends to hold LlamaCon, its first developer conference with an AI focus.
