The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has instructed all its staff not to report to work starting Monday, February 24, 2025, due to unresolved legal and administrative issues concerning employment and salary payments.
In a statement issued on Friday, February 21, 2025, NEIP management revealed that efforts to address concerns related to staff employment have proven legally complex, making it impossible to use operational funds to cover monthly salaries at this time.
Legal Process to Determine Employment Status
The statement emphasized that all employment matters must be handled through proper legal procedures to prevent further complications.
Until these issues are fully resolved, only specific staff whose services are deemed essential may be asked to return to work.
Directive to Return NEIP Property
As part of the directive, all staff in possession of NEIP property must return them to the HR Officer by the close of work on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

Management warned that failure to do so would be considered “deliberate stealing” and could result in legal consequences.
Uncertainty Over Salary Payments and Job Security
This unexpected directive has left many employees uncertain about their job security and salary arrears, with no clear timeline for resolution.
However, NEIP management has assured staff that updates will be provided as the situation develops.
