Mobile phones have become essential tools in today’s ever evolving technology landscape, blending in with almost every facet of daily life. Communication has undergone a truly revolutionary transformation.
The days of depending on postal services or other antiquated means to transmit a message and having to wait weeks or even months are long gone. This procedure has changed with the introduction of mobile technology, which makes it possible to interact and communicate instantly and in real time anywhere in the world.
The mobile phone market in Ghana has grown significantly, and a number of brands have taken the lead and become the go-to option for customers.
Based on consumer preferences and experiences, a recent Pulse Ghana poll has yielded insightful information about the most well-liked mobile phone companies in the nation.
X (formerly twitter) poll
Users were asked to name the most popular phone in Ghana in a poll on the X page of Pulse Ghana. After 801 votes were cast, the following outcomes were found:
With 41.9% of the voting, the iPhone was the most popular brand.
Samsung was the next most popular phone, coming in at 31.7%.
With 16.1%, Tecno took third position, while Infinix came in last with 10.2%, the lowest of the four brands.
Instagram poll
Similar results to those from X were obtained by an Instagram poll that received 876 votes. But the iPhone’s supremacy was even more obvious:
With 56% of the votes, the iPhone was the clear winner.
With 24%, Samsung was still in second place.
Infinix received 7%, and Tecno obtained 14%.

WhatsApp poll
The findings of the WhatsApp survey, which had a far bigger sample size of 7,126 votes, showed an unexpected twist:
Samsung received 3,600 votes, or 50.54% of the total, and took the lead.
With 2,200 votes, or 30.89%, iPhone came in second.
Infinix received 420 votes (5.90%), while Tecno received 906 votes (12.72%).
Total user participation across X, Instagram, and WhatsApp polls
We add together all of the votes cast on X (previously Twitter), Instagram, and WhatsApp to find the total number of participants across all three polls. The breakdown is as follows:
8,803 users total (801 + 876 + 7,126).
8,803 individuals from X, Instagram, and WhatsApp took part in the surveys. A thorough understanding of user participation and preferences across these social media sites is provided by the combined sample size.
With each brand topping several polls, it is clear by combining the data from all three platforms that Samsung and iPhone are the two biggest competitors in Ghana’s mobile phone market. Despite their popularity, Tecno and Infinix are not as strong as these two titans.
The different user demographics and preferences across social media channels are highlighted by the discrepancy in results between platforms.
For instance, WhatsApp’s larger and more varied user base may have contributed to Samsung’s stronger performance, while iPhone’s dominance on X and Instagram reflects its popularity among younger, tech-savvy audiences.
Conclusion
According to the combined results of the three polls (X, Instagram, and WhatsApp), Samsung received 4,064 votes, making it the most popular phone brand in Ghana. The iPhone came in second with 3,027 votes, while Tecno and Infinix came in last with 1,158 and 554 votes, respectively.
Samsung’s impressive performance, especially in the WhatsApp poll, where it received more than 50% of the vote, was a major factor in its overall lead.
