The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee is set to present its final report to President John Dramani Mahama next week, marking a crucial step in the government’s efforts to investigate corruption and reclaim stolen public resources.
The committee, which was formed to verify allegations of misappropriated state funds, has processed over 700 petitions from citizens and institutions.
Holding All Governments Accountable
Speaking during his Thank-You Tour in the Central Region, Mahama assured Ghanaians that his administration’s anti-corruption agenda is impartial and applies to both past and present officeholders.
“Those currently in office should know that they will be held to the same standard as we are holding the past regime. Next week, the ORAL Committee will present its report to me, and I will refer it to the investigative agencies to begin their work against those who have misappropriated the nation’s resources,” he declared.
Investigations to Lead to Prosecutions
Once submitted, the ORAL Committee’s findings will be forwarded to investigative bodies for legal action against individuals and entities found guilty of financial misconduct.

The initiative aims to restore public trust in governance by ensuring accountability at all levels.
Update on Komenda Sugar Factory
Beyond the anti-corruption drive, Mahama also addressed concerns over the Komenda Sugar Factory, which has been inactive for years.
He disclosed that the Minister of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry has been instructed to submit a detailed report on the factory’s status.
“We are determined to continue with the project so that the Central Region can become Ghana’s leading producer of sugar,” he assured.
The factory, which was expected to create thousands of jobs, has remained largely non-operational despite various revival efforts.
The government’s renewed commitment to its completion signals a broader agenda to boost local industry and economic development.
As Mahama pushes for transparency and infrastructure revival, all eyes will be on the ORAL Committee’s findings and the government’s next steps in delivering on its promises.
