Pastor Helen Yawson, a contemporary gospel singer from Ghana, says she would be willing to play any kind of acting part.
She claims that since she was a young child, acting and theater have always been her passions.
But when she began performing music, everything changed. But now that she knows there’s still time for her to fulfill her acting dream, she’s resolved to make it happen.
In an interview with Roselyn Feli for Joy Prime’s Prime Morning program, Pastor Helen Yawson discussed her views.
She responded “definitely” when asked if she would accept any role if one was cast.

The singer continued by narrating her schooldays: “I was always in theater things, acting and singing. I remember when I was filling out my form for university; I had Mass Communication and Theater Arts. I was always in the direction of arts. I wanted to be an actress but it’s not too late. I’m still going to do it.”
She did, however, add that she committed her life to Christ after visiting the United Kingdom, which paved the way for her musical career.
Madam Yawson feels that even though she never considered pursuing it, growing up in a musical family and her father’s passion for music have unintentionally shaped her current work path.
“My dad loved music; he had a plethora of genres, so I would listen to everything. He had pop music, country music, and indigenous music. He would play all kinds of music, and I would just soak it all up. I would sing along and write down the lyrics. It was heaven for me,” she added.
