On June 21, 2024, a funeral service for the late Nollywood star Amaechi Muonagor was held in Ugamuma village, Anambra State.
Amaechi Muonagor was buried amidst an abundance of affection and respect on March 24, 2024, following complications from kidney failure and dialysis.
Several Nollywood celebrities and well-known dignitaries attended the event as well, joining together to honor Muonagor’s life and legacy.
One notable participant was Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, whose attendance garnered a lot of attention.
While he visited the bereaved family, Obi thought about the significance of Muonagor’s craft and expressed his sympathies.

As relatives and friends said goodbye to Muonagor and considered his legacy and contributions to Nigerian cinema, photos from the funeral captured poignant moments.
