The singer-songwriter Sista Afia, from Ghana, has revealed something startling about her past. She revealed in a recent interview that after a failed relationship, she nearly put out an album made up only of trash songs.
The gifted musician said that the split had left her resentful and heartbroken, which is why she decided to express her feelings via her music. She composed songs that were quite harsh and disparaging of her ex-partner.
Sista Afia ultimately chose not to release the record, though, after coming to the conclusion that it wasn’t a good method for her to deal with her feelings. She made the decision to step back, think, and concentrate on writing music that would encourage and inspire her.

“The last time I had my heart [broken] was in 2017. I almost released an album full of diss song because of how hurt I was at the time”, she said in a radio interview on Hitz FM and monitored by ATL FM.
“I did nothing wrong,” she responded when asked what she had done wrong. All I did was to love and be there for a man, you know, I tried to put my heart there for a man”.
