Noting that Ghanaians have also contributed to the poor leadership in the nation, renowned actress Lydia Forson has bemoaned the terrible leadership displayed by politicians.
Lydia Forson asserted in an interview with Berla Mundi on The Day Show that she felt Ghanaians were not holding political leaders enough responsible, which made them avoid answering to the people.

Lydia Forson emphasized further that if both politicians and people lived true to their words, the nation would not have had corruption, challenges in the economy, or any of the other numerous issues.
“Leaders have failed us and we have failed ourselves in the process. Truly, if we were everything we preach, it would be a better place…it is our responsibility but it is also the leaders’ responsibility and we have all failed each other,” she said.
Though Lydia thinks there is still much more to be done to demand accountability from the nation’s leaders, the actress acknowledges that Ghanaians are still pressing hard for it.
“Now we are doing well. We have come a long way…I see a lot of young people trying and it is not easy but then there are also people who say shut up, it is politics…We have a lot more to do. I am amazed at the young people in this country are just fantastic because the are trying,” she said over the weekend.
