“We didn’t start early and honestly, to my surprise, when I came, a lot of fans were on the rains cheering us up for us to perform. This undoubtedly proves the love and extent to which Cape Coast fans wanted to show their immense love for the artistes”.
Kofi described the fans as amazing for singing and jamming in the mud even though it was raining heavily.
Speaking on his latest EP, he also mentioned that Effiekuma broken heart wasn’t meant to shade women who jilt men in a relationship, but rather it was meant to console anyone who feels cheated on in a romantic relationship.
He explained that often people misconstrue his song as a song made to console men who have suffered from broken heart in a romantic relationship.
Clarifying that notion, he mentioned that his song is meant to console anyone who has been jilted in a romantic relationship and not necessarily meant for males only.
“The theme of my music basically describes someone who is in a state of confusion as a result of broken heart. If you carefully listen to the song, it addresses both sexes. People construe it as a song for males because it was my song and I had to play the role of the protagonist in the music video. I never mentioned a girl or that a man was singing for a woman. A woman too can sing for a man to console herself” he explained.
Kofi Kinaata is currently on a media tour in Cape Coat to promote his new, EP, Kofi ooo Kofi.
