Rapper Medikal has disclosed that, in contrast to rumors circulating that he covered over his ex-wife Fella Makafui’s tattoo on his hand as an act of regret for their union, the decision was made to protect his future romantic connections.
His response follows recordings and claims that revealed the tattoo had been covered up after their breakup, with internet users interpreting his actions in a variety of ways.
Medikal made it clear during his speech on 3 Music that his goal was to safeguard any prospective new partnerships.
He said: “I don’t want to be f*cking my new girl and she will be seeing my baby mama’s name on my hands,” he said.
The rapper revealed that he and actress and businesswoman Fella Makafui are no longer married when he made a public announcement about their split in March of this year.
On Saturday, March 30, Medikal made it clear on Twitter that Fella Makafui is now the mother of his kid and that they are presently sharing custody of their daughter, Island Frimpong.
The rapper responded to a social media user’s post referring to Fella Makafui as Medikal’s wife with a tweet.
