The memoir “I Am Not Yvonne Nelson,” written by Ghanaian actress and former girlfriend Iyanya, was approved by the Nigerian artist without his knowledge.
In a recent interview with Lagos-based The Beat FM, Iyanya acknowledged that, at the time of his endorsement, he had no idea what the book contained.
The actress opened up about her relationship with the Nigerian artist in a devoted chapter of her memoir, “Iyanya And My Love Life,” which sparked controversy when it was published.
The Princess Tyra actress described her interactions with Iyanya in the aforementioned chapter, alleging that he had an affair with Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh.

He said, “I endorsed Yvonne Nelson’s book without knowing I was in the book. We were cool, we still talk to this day, so I didn’t know that I was in the book. When the book came out, everywhere was buzzing. People were telling me I am in the book. But I have not read it till now.
Iyanya stated, “I’m not ready to respond to stuff like that, being me comes with a lot of madness,” in response to the accusations, despite the disclosures in the book.
He disclosed that he and the actress are still friendly and keep in regular contact.
Despite the enormous excitement around the memoir’s publication, the Kukere crooner also acknowledged that he had not yet read it.
