Mam Yandey Joof, the late CEO of Kikibees Restaurant and Lounge’s girlfriend, has been released by the Madina District Court.
Mam Yandey Joof faced a single murder charge in connection with Kikibee’s demise.
However, she has been let go as a result of the Office of the Attorney General’s recommendation that her case be dropped.
The prosecution
Inspector Jameson Awumey, the prosecution’s lead witness, informed the court that the accused and the dead, also known as Ben Kikibees, had allegedly had an intimate relationship throughout the previous three years.
The deceased, according to the prosecution, left Ghana three months prior and arrived back on October 7, 2023.
Following his arrival, the prosecutor stated that Kikibees went to his East Legon apartment at around 6 p.m. that same day and then traveled to his restaurant, Kikibees, in East Legon after approximately two hours.
The prosecution stated that at approximately 12:30 am on October 8, 2023, Kikibees departed from the eatery to pay the accused person a visit at her home in Ogbojo, which is close to Madina in Greater Accra.
According to the prosecutor, Kikibees began acting abnormally and hurling objects around the room at around 1:30 in the morning, all while shouting that someone was chasing him.

The deceased was discovered in the kitchen, lying in a pool of blood, when the aforementioned buddy arrived.
The accused and the deceased’s friend were assisted by various occupants in the residence, according to the prosecutor, in getting the deceased to the DEL Hospital in East Legon.
However, he reported that Agyekum-Adoma passed away soon after arriving. According to the prosecution, the body was sent to the Police Hospital for preservation and autopsy after a report to the Police was filed.
