The Accra High Court has adjourned the trial involving seven individuals, including Patience Botwe, two former house helps of former Sanitation Minister Cecilia Dapaah to March 8, 2024.
The seven people are accused of stealing $1 million, 300,000 euros, and many assets worth millions of Ghana cedis from Madam Cecilia Dapaah.
The adjournment is due to the late arrival of the defense and accused lawyers for the case management session.
The defense and prosecution counsel did not appear in court until Justice Marie-Louise Simmons postponed the case until March 8, 2024.

Before the postponement, Basit Adams, lawyer for the accused, expressed concern that, despite his clients meeting the bail requirements established by the court in a prior order, the investigator had failed to release them.
Despite being granted bail earlier, the accused remain in detention since their terms have not been satisfied.
The court will have a Case Management Conference at the next hearing, when the accused appear for the fourth time.
On December 28, 2023, Justice Marie-Louise Simmons gave State Prosecutors one more chance to file their witness statements and disclosures before today’s Court hearing.
