On Sunday, December 10, 2023, Ghanaian musician Edem Goget’em was a victim of a car accident.
A press release from this management, signed by the musician, states that the incident took place following the musician’s appearance on United Television.
According to his management, the accident happened “where a ‘naked’ woman crossed his path out of nowhere” on the George Walker Bush Highway.

“Edem’s car turned upside down after the impact, but the artiste is very fine,” the statement continues. Since the issue is still being investigated, Edem is now abiding by the police service’s requests for due process. Edem has pledged to be available to support inquiries as needed.”
The rapper’s supporters are also reassured by the press release that he is secure, active, and alive.
According to accounts, Edem showed up before the Kaneshie District Court, presided over by Nana Abena Asor Owusu Amenyo, in accordance with the law, for hitting the woman in question with a Honda Touring car bearing the license plate GX 3011-19.
The sources also state that after being taken to the Police Hospital for medical attention, the injured woman was purportedly declared dead.
The ‘We Don’t Really Care’ hitmaker was accused of two crimes: negligently causing hurt and driving with recklessness and inconsideration.
On February 15, 2024, Edem, who was granted bail in the amount of GH¢50,000 with two sureties, is scheduled to return to court.
