Hiplife musician Mzbel has made a recommendation in response to claims made by Mary, a former housekeeper for highlife musician Kuami Eugene, regarding the hardships she endured while working for the artist.
The ’16 Years’ singer stated that Kuami ought to have settled for a babysitter rather than approaching a young lady Mary’s age.
“What Kwame needs is a nanny, not a maid,” she posted on her Instagram page with the caption “harmless suggestion.”
In a recent interview, Mary disclosed that upon commencing her employment with Kuami, she received a monthly pay of GHC 400. She received a GHC 100 annual increment.
“When I started working with him, he was paying me Gh400. However, after one year, he added Gh100 to it making my salary Gh500. The following year he did same until he recently sacked me,” Mary said.
She also related how a female friend of the singer fired her for being late in returning from an errand.

“The truth is that I got home late that day. A female friend of his asked me to deliver something and I got home after 12am that day.
He asked me why I returned late, and I explained to him. He then said he would be held responsible if something bad happened to me. So he gave me two options; to leave his house or keep receiving GHC 400,” she said.
Mary’s mother has corroborated other stories that she fainted multiple times while living with the musician.
There is a ton of discussion about the matter on social media, and most people characterize the former home help as a jerk. Some have said that by lavishing Mary with affection and releasing her into the public eye, Kuami Eugene erred.
Kuami Eugene has not yet responded to the accusations in writing in the interim.
