Bullgod, an industry analyst and artist management, is advising musicians to use applications like TikTok to promote their songs instead of traveling to Nigeria.
In response to a request from Adesope Olajide, a Nigerian promoter and broadcaster, he made this statement. Olajide asked Ghanaian musicians to use Lagos, his home city, as a secondary marketing platform for their songs.
Bullgod claims that the internet has given many creatives throughout the world the chance to showcase their artists’ works to a global audience.

He continued by saying that the advent of numerous online platforms has made traveling from place to place to promote music less effective than it was a few years ago.
“This is 2023, let nobody come and tell us that we need to go to Nigeria to promote music. We won’t go to Lagos. We no get time. Everything is digital,”he said in pidgin.
Bullgod said that musicians should visit TikTok rather than traveling to Nigeria, as advocated by individuals such as Adesope.
“When you release a song in Accra, the next city you should go to is TikTok. If I have money for promotion I will go and find a TikTok office and pay them for my promo.”
