Rapper Jay Bahd, from Ghana, may be in for a protracted legal battle over his claim that marijuana use, sometimes referred to as “wee,” is a blood tonic and shouldn’t be considered a sin or a crime.
Jay Bahd mentioned that marijuana offers many benefits to users including influencing one’s appetite to eat and sleep well.
“Why are people making it look like it’ a sin to smoke wee. Don’t you know it’s even used for blood tonic? If you want to eat and sleep well, wee is very important. There are people who get much stressed but get back to normal after smoking wee.
“I’m not a doctor and I understand that some people can go mad for smoking weed but all depends on how the person uses it. There are those who get very calm and measured after smoking and those who go hyper and start misbehaving as well.

“It’s the misuse of wee that can bring madness because too much of everything is bad. However, if anyone condemns wee as a sin, then the person is rather questioning God’s wisdom since he created it.
“God says he has sanctified all things for our use but it is human beings who have decided to be judges of what they think is right or wrong,” he said on Ghpage’s Rush Hour Show recently.
The rapper’s stance on the recreational use of marijuana deepens conversations on ongoing debate about legalisation and cultural acceptance of cannabis in various societies.
