In the midst of the former football player and his ex-wife’s marriage being dissolved, Baffour Gyan, the brother of former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, has entered the fray to seize the narrative.
It follows the Accra High Court’s decision in the court case involving Asamoah Gyan and Gifty Gyan, his former significant other. Because Asamoah Gyan’s request for the court to declare the marriage null and void was granted, according to Baffour, the annulment was a victory for them.
Baffour also reaffirmed the court’s ruling, which stated that Asamoah Gyan’s paternity for all three of Gifty Gyan’s children was established by DNA testing.
He claimed that the court, headed by Hafisata Ameleboba JA, determined that Gifty was entitled to a portion of Asamoah Gyan’s possessions, which included two cars, a gas station, a four-bedroom home at Spintex in Accra, and a house in the United Kingdom.
But according to Baffour, she had already bought these properties in 2013 before getting married.
Baffour revealed in an interview with Asempa fm that the properties the court gave to the former wife were already in her name.
”It’s our victory … the court ordered Asamoah Gyan to give the property already in Gifty’s name. No new property were added,” says Baffour Gyan.
